The vision for Rancho Mirage High School is guided by the PSUSD goals and includes students, parents and community, school and staff and school leadership. The mission of Rancho Mirage High School is to provide a high-quality, comprehensive, and meaningful education for all students. Each student will be expected to succeed within the bounds of their abilities and chosen educational and career goals. Each student will be treated as an individual, given the tools to be a lifelong learner, and taught to function as a member of a group and as a productive and meaningful member of society.

Our mission is that students will graduate from high school prepared and motivated to succeed in their chosen career and higher education, ultimately contributing to the common good. Students
RMHS expects all students to work toward graduation and successfully transition to college or career. All students are welcomed into a school culture that encourages individuality and expects extra/co-curricular participation in order to foster a sense of belonging. By participating in this educational community, students acquire knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will serve them today and in the future.
Personal and Social Responsibility - to achieve these qualities students:
Develop strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills;
Develop lifelong learning skills;
Treat all members with respect, dignity, and sensitivity;
Practice integrity in all endeavors;
Parents and Community
RMHS is a working partnership of students, parents, staff and community members who effectively communicate to meet the educational needs of its students.
Parent and Community Responsibility – to achieve academic and social success, opportunities are available to:
Actively participate in the student’s education to increase student attendance, participation, and enhance student/community involvement;
Become familiar with the school community to ensure that each student is actively engaged in learning and taking advantage of the available academic, career technical, athletic, extra-curricular, and support programs;
Become familiar with district and state graduation requirements, college entrance requirements, and essential skills that foster career success;
Develop partnerships between the business, government, and school community;

RMHS provide students with a safe and secure learning environment characterized by responsible, respectful, and ethical behavior by the entire school community.
Safe and Secure Environment by:
Providing facilities at schools that optimize student opportunity and learning;
Supplementing academic curricula with character-building and support programs;
Implementing and regularly updating safe school, emergency preparedness and response plans;

RMHS is a professional learning community that ensures that all students learn at high levels through a collaborative culture and an ambitious vision for student success.
Teacher and Administrative Responsibility – to help students achieve their full potential the staff of the school ensure:
Relentless focus on student achievement;
Engagement of all students in an active learning environment;
Participation in extra/co-curricular activities;
Creation of a collaborative and professional school culture;
Active engagement in collaborative decision making that improves student achievement;
Creation of a culture by which professionals continuously improve their individual and collective professional practice and seek professional learning experiences that enable them to meet the 21st century needs of all students;
